I was a pudgy kid growing up but at about 14 I decided that needed to change. So my grandmother gave me my uncles old Nautilus machine and I started to lift on it. Within a few months I maxed out that little piece of home equipment and traded it in on a new bench press and weight. From that point on I was hooked, so much so that I dedicated my life to helping other people find what motivates them and helping them get into better shape.
Deadlift- A pure total body strength lift there is nothing like it!
Exercise: Elliptical- It is mind-numbing, boring and it makes my feet fall
Past Time Activity: Movies (especially cult classics)
Guilty Pleasure: Pizza-I grew up in a pizza restaurant so it is fully in my blood!
Fitness Philosophy: Training is 10% physical and 90% mental. It requires you to look at yourself objectively and ask the hard questions. These truths are evident in how you deal with life. the effort and resolve that you forge in the gym directly affects your existence outside of the gym.

I have been an avid rock climber and runner for 13 years. These years of running and climbing led me to feel the growing imbalance in my body. I thought training for these activities was enough but in my 40's I felt that I needed something else. In 2012, I began the long journey of finding out what makes a strong yet balanced athlete. The water is deep so I continue treading deeper into the knowledge of what makes athletes their best.

My life in fitness started because of sports. Through high school I was always involved with athletics and have continued to stay fit and want to share my passion for fitness with others!
Favorite Exercise: Upper Body Circuit- I love the feeling after torching my shoulders and back.
Least Favorite Exercise: Front Squats- I struggle to through them every time I work legs!
Past Time Activity: Spending time with my family and friends doesn't hurt if that includes watching SEC football (GO VOLS!)
Guilty Pleasure: Chocolate- I have a bad sweet tooth and yes I can be bought off with it :)
